How long will my shampoo soap bar last?
If you shampoo everyday, the bar will last you approximately one month.
What is the best way to apply the shampoo soap bar to my hair?
For best shampoo bar application, rub in wet hair or rub in hands first and then start with roots, or grate 1/4 of soap bar for liquid application. Place grated soap in 4 cups of hot water. Stir until dissolved. (For sample size, dissolve grated or chopped shampoo soap in 2 cups of hot water). Before each use we suggest warming the shampoo container in a sink filled with hot water. Shake before using the liquid shampoo. Discard liquid shampoo after 6 days. (Recycle an alcohol or hydrogen peroxide bottle. Perfect.)
Do I need to Condition my hair?
Yes, please condition your hair with every use. Conditioner readjusts the PH of your shampooed hair back to its natural PH. With natural shampoos, alternating the PH of your hair helps protect and restore your hair. In addition, our natural shampoos will greatly increase the effectiveness of your beloved conditioner. You will be more than pleasantly surprised.
Will your shampoos lather?
Yes, you will experience great bubbles and lather. It's simply delightful.
Are your shampoos safe to use on color-treated or bleached hair?
Our shampoos are completely safe to use on color-treated and bleached hair.
Can I still use heat styling tools on my hair?
Absolutely! Our natural shampoos work perfectly with heat-styling tools. Of course, as with any shampoo and conditioner on the market, air-dry or blow dry hair before using any other heat styling tools, i.e. straightener, curling iron, etc. Then, after drying, curl or straighten your hair to your delight.
Other than the obvious, what is the difference between your vegan and non-vegan line?
1. The main differences between our Amazing Vegan line and our Magnificent non-vegan line, besides the obvious, is that our Vegan line is 100% hypoallergenic.
2. The second main difference is that our non-vegan Magnificent Face soap line of skincare has separate applications, one for acne-prone skin as well as one for psoriasis relief.
3. The third difference is that our non-vegan Magnificent Restore Shampoo leaves the hair with a ever so slight bit more form than our Amazing Restore Shampoo (Vegan).
Why can't you make the soap with a natural alkaline-base saponifier?
The first known written recipe for soap dates back to the Babylonians, approximately five millennia ago. The babylonians used potash as their alkaline-base saponifier to make soap. Potash is made from the ash of burned wood, which is also known as natural potassium hydroxide. Today, burning wood to make soap is not environmentally sustainable, therefore, we use sodium hydroxide, otherwise known as lye, which is environmentally responsible. MYTH BUSTER: There are no traces of lye in the soap once it combines with the natural oils.
What makes Restoring Organics shampoo different from other natural shampoos?
1. Our shampoos and face soaps will restore and protect your hair and skin from damage.
2. Our natural shampoos and soaps are saponified with 100% natural ingredients with no synthetic or toxic additives or preservatives, and no irritating essential oils or fragrances.
2. Our saponified vegan line of products, Amazing Restore Shampoo and Amazing Restore Face Soap, is made with 100% natural & hypoallergenic ingredients See for yourself on our Ingredient Page.
3. You will not experience any type of damage that other natural brands seem to have in common such as build-up, stripping, drying, irritation, frizzing, feelings of being weighed down, stickiness, oiliness, dullness, hair fall or breakage, and tangling.
4. Lastly, you will notice that your hair is more manageable: You will cut your styling time down by approximately half and, more than likely, you will cut back on other styling and conditioning products. Yes, it is that good.
Can I use the face soap on my hair?
No, we do not recommend using the face or body soap on the hair because the results will not be optimal. More specifically, the face soaps will be a bit too drying to the hair. With that in mind, each shampoo and soap has its own special formula, wondrously matching the unique profiles of your hair and skin. Our bodies need food and that is exactly what our shampoos and soaps are made of, food grade ingredients! See our ingredient list here.
